The next few weeks will see us getting the house and garden ready for the spring and the start of our Open Day season which runs through until September.
Our first Open Day is Saturday 8 April which is will have the theme Tudor Games & Easter!
Come along to our first Open Day of the season to find out about the games the Tudors played including skittles, Nine Men’s Morris and quoits. Have a go at our Easter trail and learn about natural ways to dye eggs.
We’ll also be launching our weaving project for 2017: to create a piece of cloth woven throughout the year, beginning with dyeing the wool using traditional dye.
Dyeing demonstrations at: 11.30am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm approx.
As usual there will also be the opportunity to have a look around the house and garden and learn about the life and times of a medieval weaver and his family, find out how the preservation project began and enjoy a slice of homemade cake!
