Heritage Open Days are nearly here!
Who’s excited? We’re excited! Heritage Open Days are this week and to mark the occasion we’re open for both Saturday and Sunday, starting at the special earlier time of 10am, closing at 4pm. These are also our final Open Days of the year – so don’t miss your chance to come and have a look around, talk to our knowledgeable guides and sample our delicious homemade cake (Bake Off has nothing on us).
Don’t worry if you can’t make it along this weekend – remember that we are open for private group tours and school groups throughout the year, and of course you can get involved as a volunteer with us at any time.
That said, Heritage Open Days are a wonderful opportunity to come and see the house, alongside many other places of interest, some of which are rarely open. Take a look at all the other nearby places that will be open and get planning an itinerary to squeeze in as many as possible. See an old favourite or try something new – we’re hoping to get out and enjoy visiting some other properties as well as enjoying opening up the house and garden. Heritage Open Days starts on Thursday and is a nationwide event so there should be plenty of opportunities.
If you are on Twitter join in with the Heritage Open Days’ build-up and across the weekend using the hashtags #HODs and #treasureyourtreasures to share and celebrate the things you care about. Useful Twitter accounts are @weavershouse and @heritageopenday. We’d love to see your photos if you visit us.
Right – let’s unroll the bunting and blow up the balloons!
Loved our visit to The Weaver’s House over the Heritage Open Day Weekend. Thank you.
Thank you, we had a great weekend with lots of visitors – hope you got to try some of our cake!
