Group Visits and Talks

Group Visits to The Weaver’s House

One of the best ways to see The Weaver’s House is to arrange a group visit. We are happy to show groups around at any time, subject to availability of volunteer guides.

We are very close to the city centre and therefore other local places of interest. If you are planning to bring your group to Coventry, a visit to The Weaver’s House would be an ideal complement to larger sites such as the Cathedrals or museums.

There is no specific charge for group visits, we simply ask that you make a suitable donation. Group visits generally take 45 minutes to one hour.

Ten people can be comfortably shown round the Weaver’s House as a small group. For bigger groups we will split you up into smaller groups. If you have a particular interest i.e. Tudor Living, Family History, Weaving, etc., please let us know as one of specialist volunteers may be able to accompany your visit.

We have had visits from all sorts of groups including schools, Brownies and Cubs, Women’s Institute, specialist weaving groups and many more. If there are more than 20 in your group please do give us a call so we can discuss options.

Please note that we do not have a café on site but we are just a few minutes walk into the city centre.

Talks at other venues.

It is also possible to arrange a talk for your group at another location, for example your group meeting place. We usually give a general talk accompanied by projections, this can be slanted towards a particular interest. We have also in the past given joint presentations with the Weavers’ Workshop. There is no fixed fee, though a donation of £25+ is usual.
